Where I live, it feels like summer. And around here, summer is a lot of things.
Homemade ice cream, car-washes-turned-water-fights, popsicle juice running down our chins, evenings spent on the porch with frozen cherries, hanging laundry outside, taking ice bottles to the rabbits, boredom because we can't play outside, and trips to the creek to go wading.
Summer is extra time for photography, heat following us everywhere (except into the air conditioning), having recital over with for the year (yes!!!), the sounds of water splashing and children squealing. It's fresh veggies, getting up early to weed the garden before it gets too hot, Sunday school picnics, and spending time in the afternoons reading Dickens.
Summer is a lot of things.
